Who can become a Mentor ?

Members of the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation(AAvHF) and the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD), as well as German academics in Australia and Australian academics with extensive experience of collaborative work with colleagues in Germany, with a minimum of 5 years postdoctoral experience, or equivalent, in their area of expertise.

If you are interested in becoming a Mentor please register here.

The matching procedure

1. The prospective Mentee contacts the Organizing Committee.

2. The Organizing Committee will select potential mentors from the Mentor volunteer list and a description of the possible Mentor confidentially will be emailed to the Mentee.

3. The Mentee will then have the opportunity to accept or reject the suggested Mentor without prejudice.

4. If the first attempt is not successful, then a second attempt to select a mentor will be made.

5. During a first personal meeting the mentoring agreement is signed and dated by Mentor and Mentee.
